Violent field vibrations, loose battery clamps, and heavy starter motor draw routinely crack lead terminal posts and snap internal cell connectors on heavy agricultural tractor batteries. Farmers often discard expensive heavy-duty batteries simply because a broken terminal post prevents engine cranking, or because neglected seasonal sitting has sulfated the internal plates. This workshop uses custom carbon-rod electric arc welders and cast-iron terminal molds to melt and reform fresh, solid lead battery terminals on damaged casings. The technician also neutralizes plate sulfate deposits using high-frequency electronic pulse chargers, replaces clouded electrolyte acid, and load-tests cranking amperage under heavy carbon-pile discharge.
Tractor owners save the steep cost of a brand new battery, leaving with a revived power pack that fires up diesel engines on cold winter mornings.
